Earth Hour

Earth Hour is a global event that started in Sydney Australia in 2007. Typically the last Saturday of March at 8:30pm, participants turn off their lights (and other electronics) for one hour as a supportive gesture against global climate change.  Since 2007, the number of participating individuals, cities and countries has increased each year growing bigger and better than the year before.  The Town of Ajax supports Earth Hour by turning off non-essential lighting in all Town facilities and offering fun, family programming the evening of Earth Hour.
