Ajax adds 400 new high quality jobs in 2014
Town continues to surpass 2,015 by 2015 job growth projections
 
Council continues to keep their commitment to inform residents and businesses of new high quality jobs with the OnTrack Ajax campaign, adding 400 key sector jobs in 2014.
 
A component of the Town’s 10 year Economic Development and Tourism Strategy, OnTrack Ajax endeavours to create and retain 2,015 jobs by the year 2015 in four key sectors: manufacturing, business services, health & human services and tourism.
 
Since the strategy was initiated in 2010, 2,840 jobs have been created and retained to date.

- In 2014, 400 jobs were created in health and professional services, business & professional services, tourism and manufacturing. Businesses include: Malpak, Lifetime Athletic, Index Energy and Endras Infiniti.
- An estimated 300 new jobs will be created in 2015.
