Participate in a variety of activities from February 21 to 27

Winterfest returns February 21 - 27 with a week of fun, family-friendly events and activities!

Winterfest 2022 highlights:

  • Special free swimming at the Ajax and McLean Community Centres and free public skating at the Ajax Community Centre on Family Day, February 21 (registration required).
  • Free skating at Pat Bayly Square outdoor rink and natural ice rinks at McLean Community Centre, Audley Recreation Centre, Carruthers Marsh Pavilion and Rotary Park.
  • Free Nordic pole walking demonstrations led by TOA fitness experts (registration required).
  • Snow Creations Photo Contest - have you built something cool? A snow fort, snow angel, snowman or something else? We want to see! Participate for a chance to win a prize.
  • Love Letters for Local social media campaign – show some love for Ajax businesses! Participate for a chance to win a prize.
  • Special Ajax Public Library programming, including, Storywalk Trail – a fun and engaging opportunity to read a story and enjoy the outdoors at the same time!
  • Explore Ajax – Find It! An activity for the entire family.
  • Opportunities to stay active outdoors with Winter TOA activities.

How the Snow Creations Photo Contest Works:

  • Follow the Town on at least one (or all!) of our social media channels: Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
  • Take a photo of your Snow Creation. Don’t have anywhere to build your creation outside? No problem! Simply create an indoor creation using materials around the house (i.e. pillows, blankets, bristol boards, etc.)!
  • Share your photo and tag at least one of our accounts including the tag #TOAWinterfest.
  • All entries must be received by February 27 at 11:59 p.m.
  • All entries will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a $25 electronic gift card sent directly to you the week of February 28.
  • *Entries may be shared on the Town’s social media platforms. If you do not wish for your photo to be shared, please send it to events@ajax.ca.

  • Registration for free public swimming and skating on Family Day, February 21, is required and is now open at ajax.ca/TownEvents.
  • Registration for Nordic pole walking demonstrations is required. Stay tuned for registration dates and details. Limited spots available.
