"Over the past year, because of lockdown and social distancing, millions of able-bodied people around the world are experiencing, for the first time, how it feels to face external barriers preventing them from participating in everyday life. Covid has brought profound changes to our personal lives, business operations, and the delivery of services, in the way of social barriers, disconnection, exclusion and financial hardship; all long-standing experiences encountered by many in the disability community. The pandemic has reinforced that the need for accessibility and inclusion has never been greater." - Julia Stevenson, Accessibility Advisory Committee Member
