Ajax Council is committed to continuing the Town’s long history of environmental stewardship by implementing a Textile Diversion Program with the goal of drastically increasing our textile diversion rates across the community.

The urban forest is made up of all the trees that grow in Ajax: the trees in your backyard, the ones that line roadways and those found in public parks and woodlots. Trees provide important environmental, social and economic benefits.

Individuals, community groups and businesses are invited to initiate a one-time litter pick, or adopt a space in Ajax, on an ongoing basis. It may be your local park or playground, a section of the waterfront, or a favorite creek area.

As a leader in sustainability, The Town of Ajax has implemented a number of strategies to help reduce the environmental impact caused by municipal buildings.
