An Ownership Change Tax Information letter is mailed when there is any change in title on a property.  

When you purchase a property, check with your lawyer or the tax office to confirm when the next payment is due for your taxes. Penalty charges apply to late payments, regardless of any change in ownership, and cannot be waived. 

Newly constructed homes are not fully assessed. Your tax bill is based on the assessed value of the vacant lot only. Your house will be assessed by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation at a later date. Estimate your annual taxes  using your purchase price and plan for this amount, so when the house bill arrives, you will have the money saved and it will not be a burden.
