The Town of Ajax is currently preparing a new design for Exeter Park. Many of the existing park features have reached the end of their life-cycle and new features are planned. It is anticipated that the new features will include a splash pad (to replace the wading pool), gazebo shade structure, leash-free area (to replace the ball diamond), children’s playground (to replace the old playground), asphalt paved walkways, lighting, furniture, and plantings. The Town is holding an open house to provide the public an opportunity to review the plans and to provide comments. Once the plans have been completed, it is anticipated that the park will be under construction in 2024.

What to expect from the Exeter Park Retrofit/scope of work:

  • Removal of the existing playground
  • Addition of a new playground
  • Removal of the wading pool
  • Addition of splash pad
  • Removal of chain link back stop
  • Removal of asphalt walkways
  • Addition of new asphalt walkways
  • Addition of shade structure
  • Addition of trees
  • Addition of lights

The public meeting is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 6 p.m. Ajax Council Chambers, located at Ajax Town Hall, 65 Harwood Ave. S., Ajax, ON. No registration is required.
