Aqua Fitness

Aquatic exercise is a great way to reduce chronic pain, increase flexibility, tone muscles and reduce blood pressure. Water supports and massages the body during exercise, which also increases blood circulation. Since there is no compression of the joints, aquatic classes are perfect for those with joint concerns.

Squash57 Try-it Day!

June is Recreation and Parks Month and the Town of Ajax is offering free activities to celebrate! Join us on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ajax Community Centre to try Sqash57. 

Squash57 plays with a slightly larger ball (57 mm diameter) with more bounce than a typical squash ball. This allows players to reach shots more easily without the deep lunging movements of traditional squash. Standard racquetball racquets are used. Squash57 is ideal for those with less racquet sport experience and older participants that offers a great workout in a social setting.

Instruction provided. Must be 10 years or older. Equipment supplied. Register by emailing fitness@ajax.ca
