Throughout the pandemic, the Town has promoted the benefits of safe outdoor activities to support the physical and mental health of our community via our popular Active TOA program. To help residents stay active this winter, the Town is highlighting various outdoor activities, spaces and amenities.
Winter TOA provides safe opportunities for our residents to get outside to exercise, including:

Snowshoe Loan Program - Season Finished |

Weather dependant. Snowshoeing is a great way to get outside and enjoy winter! Snowshoes (up to 4 pairs at one time) are available for loan for up to 3 days at no cost (deposit required, supply is limited) so that residents can enjoy outdoor recreation and physical activity this winter. Remember that adults should accumulate a minimum of 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity each week. Children need 60 minutes per day! Snowshoes are available through March (weather permitting and subject to supply) from the McLean Community Centre at 95 Magill Dr., Ajax. Due to popular demand we are currently booking snowshoes for loan into late March.
