Rob Ford appointed as Interim Chief Administrative Officer

Mayor Steve Parish and Ajax Council are pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Ford as Interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Town of Ajax. Council unanimously approved the interim appointment on February 5, 2015.

Ford replaces Brian Skinner effective today (February 6, 2015). The interim appointment is until the end of September.

"On behalf of Ajax Council, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Brian for his 27 years of dedicated public service with the Town," said Mayor Parish. "Since being appointed CAO in 2004, Brian has led the Town through tremendous growth. We thank Brian for his leadership, commitment and contributions to Ajax, and wish him well."

Moving forward, the Town plans to reorganize and find further efficiencies to ensure alignment with our priorities, and plan for the future as the Town continues to mature.

Ford has been with the Town since 1984 and has held the position of Finance Director and Treasurer since 2003. During his tenure as Director, Ford was a key member of the senior management team, and has successfully implemented various corporate initiatives and policies, most recently the Town's Financial Sustainability Plan.

"I would like to thank Rob for agreeing to take on this interim role to ensure a seamless transition for staff and the community as we embark on this new chapter," said Mayor Parish. "His experience and leadership will be a great support during the recruitment process for a permanent CAO."
