Funding will be used to install eight new charging ports in Ajax
The Town of Ajax is pleased to announce that it has been approved for the EV ChargeON grant from the Government of Ontario, totaling $60,000. This funding will support the installation of two Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations at Carruthers Marsh Pavilion and two Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations at the Rotary Park Pavilion, providing a total of eight new charging ports for our community.
This project aligns with the Town's commitment to sustainability and green infrastructure, expanding zero-emission resources to support local economic and community development while protecting and preserving the environment.
The installation of the EV charging stations is expected to commence in early June 2025.
