Help shape the direction of the Task Force’s workplan and provide feedback by September 16!
The Ajax Anti-Racism Task Force’s (AARTF) mission is to improve and address disparities experienced by racialized and underrepresented communities across the Town.
To help shape the direction of their work and their impact on the Town, the Task Force has launched an online survey for community feedback. Participating in the survey will assist with developing their workplan goals and actions to address racism and hate in the Town.
Complete the online survey by Monday, September 16, 2024, at ajax.ca/antiracism.

Quick Facts
- The Ajax Anti-Racism Task Force (AARTF) aims to address systemic racism and hate experienced by various groups in the Town through a hub and spoke model with identified working groups addressing disparities in racialized and underrepresented communities.
- A hub and spoke model means that the Task Force will be flexible on the various anti-racism topics addressed by the Task Force per year, including the ability to adapt their workplan to shift with current events. The Task Force will not be dedicated to one sole cause.
- The AARTF can focus on anti-racism through multiple lenses, such as anti-Black racism and Indigenous truth and reconciliation building simultaneously in accordance with the work plan.
- The Anti-Racism Task Force works to create a more inclusive and equitable community. They actively address systemic racism and discrimination, ensuring that all community members have equal opportunities and access to resources.
- To participate in the community consultation, please select the "survey" tab at the bottom of the page at ajax.ca/antiracism. The deadline to complete the survey is Monday, September 16, 2024. All responses are anonymous.
- Once the Task Force has received the community’s feedback through this forum, the Task Force plans to host an in-person session to discuss the work plan's themes and goals.
