Slot revenues from Casino Ajax reinvested into community organizations through the Ajax Partnership Fund

The Town of Ajax and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission (OLG) are marking another significant milestone in the ongoing partnership between the Town and OLG. Based on the performance of OLG operations in Ajax between April 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024, the Town of Ajax has received $4,615,693 in non-tax revenue from OLG.

Under an agreement between the Town and OLG, the Town reinvests a portion of these funds into the Ajax Partnership Fund, with the remainder used to support the community through investments in capital projects and helping to plan for the Town's long term financial strength and stability.

Through the 2024 Ajax Partnership Fund, Pride Durham received approximately $30,000 over the next three years towards their Pride initiatives which spread awareness on the importance of inclusion, acceptance and self-expression.

Representatives from the OLG, the Town of Ajax and Pride Durham recently met to celebrate this ongoing partnership, with all three organizations then participating in the 2024 Durham Pride Parade, helping kickoff Pride Month here in Ajax.
